What Is Teen Patti?
If you have played cards at a family gathering or during Diwali, you probably already know Teen Patti — or 3 Patti, as most people call it. Three cards, a pot in the middle, and a table full of players trying to figure out who is bluffing. The idea is simple: your three cards are ranked against everyone else’s, and the strongest hand takes the pot.
It uses a regular 52-card deck, works with three to six players, and the hand rankings run from Trail (three of a kind) at the top to High Card at the bottom. The two main choices you make each round are whether to play blind or seen, and whether to stay in or fold.
How to Play Teen Patti
A round starts when everyone puts chips into the pot — that starting bet is called the boot. The dealer hands out three cards face-down to each player. Now you decide: look at your cards (play seen) or leave them face-down (play blind). Blind players pay less per round but have no idea what they are holding. Seen players pay more but can make informed decisions. Betting goes around the table until only one player is left standing, or two players call a show and flip their cards. Strongest hand wins.

When two hands are the same type, the one with higher card values wins. If all three card values match, the player who did not call the show wins — suit is never a tiebreaker. Game Modes in Teen Patti Master
- Classic Teen Patti: The standard three-card game with blind and seen play. The one most people already know from home games.
- Muflis (Lowball): The lowest hand wins. Your whole strategy flips — hands you would fold in Classic become your best cards here.
- AK47: Aces, Kings, 4s, and 7s act as wild cards. Strong hands show up much more often, so your fold threshold has to go up.
- Joker: A random card rank turns wild each round. You cannot plan ahead — you adapt after the Joker is announced.
- Rummy: A different card game where you form sequences and sets. Separate rules from Teen Patti, but available in the same app.
- Andar Bahar, Dragon vs Tiger, 7 Up Down: Shorter side games for a change of pace between Teen Patti sessions.
